He depicts his experiences an thoughts while he was in prison for several decades, during his childhood and growing up, and his travels in west until the beginning of his presidency. Mandela shows how one man can win a nation for a revolution, for democracy and freedom, for human rights, justice, and peace. Reading mandela's biogrophy, you get a sense for the value of freedom and civil rights. This book is not only inspiring, it reveals the necessarity of equality in a free country with a free political system. The Nobel Peace Prize Winner is a symbol of the overwhelming power of freedom and a further proof that oppression will not and cannot endure forever. Mandela's story is the visualization of Kennedy's words in Berlin: "Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free" Due to the message Mandela is able to transmit in his touching report, I can only give Five Stars for this extraordinary biography.
